~ Midsummer's Eve, 2015 ~

Last week Midsummer was finally here. My mother, my sister and I went to celebrate my aunt and uncle's Silver Wedding, 25 years of marriage. It took place on the same date, in the same place as 25 years ago - our family garden :) It was such a nice evening, the weather was amazing, I ate lots of watermelon, and had a great time just how the magical Midsummer Night should be <3 My sister, my mother and me :) Look at this view! I spent a lot of time in this playhouse as a child ^_^ Candyyyy <3 There was even a bunny there! :D I made a raw vegan cake, and when we removed the foil cover, a dragon revealed itself! :O :D Hahaha *munchmunch* (I think we kind of look like the 'evil stepsisters' in Cinderella :3) Priska :p Kida <3 My aunt and uncle, wearing the same as they did on their wedding day 25 years ago! - Have you been to a Silver Wedding before? :)<3 Photos by my cousin (the good ones) and me (bad phone photos) :...

~ Wedding and a medieval church ~

The weekend before last, I attended the wedding of a childhood friend. It was in the old medieval church / viking chapel,Olavskapellet, which is placed in Norway's first capital, and one of our oldest cities, Sarpsborg. There was even amedieval garden, and I really liked the place! Middelalderhagen - the medieval garden :) My charming sister <3 - Have you ever been to a wedding? :) See my outfit here:) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ Love and light ~ #bryllup #arkitektur#kirke#kjćrlighet #romantikk #sommer #august #hage#natur#grřnn#filosofi#Gaiadóttir

~ Midsummer's Eve 2014 ~

On June 23rd I celebrated the traditional Norwegian Midsummer's Eve with my family. We went down to the beach with food and blankets and had a lovely picnic! :) Locals had arranged a traditional fire, and a not-so-traditional concert. We wore flowercrowns, as one should on this night, and really enjoyed ourselves! On our way home, we picked seven different wild flowers that we put underneath our pillows - which according to an old love spell will show you the one you will marry when you sleep that night ^^ A lot of (north) European countries has similar Midsummer celebrations, but after the christianisation of Norway, the pagan celebration of Summer Solstice / Midsummer diminished and was replaced with what we now know as St. Hansaften, the memorial day of John the Baptist. Sweden (and the countries bordering the Baltic Sea) have kept a more authentic Midsummer celebration, and this is where I look for inspiration. I would love to celebrate Midsummer in Sweden, with the eautiful m...

~ Litha / Summer Solstice 2014 ~

Blessed be, dearies! <3 On saturday I celebrated Midsummer / Summer Solstice / Litha with two of my dearest friends, Branna and Ingrid :) First we had an amazing dinner, and afterwards we went to the forest to perform a ritual. It was very peaceful, and we sat and talked and had a magical time :) I am so greatful for that beautiful day, for summer, for my friends and my life right now, and I wish you all a great summer <3 Ingrid is looking mischievous while preparing for our circle ^^ We even found a sleeping bumblebee, which none of us had seen before! So adorable <3 - Have you celebrated Summer Solstice? :) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ Love and light ~ #paganisme#pagan#naturreligion#spiritualitet#bie#blomster#rituale#magi#heks#hekser#wicca#sommer #sommersolverv #solverv #litha #midtsommer#seremoni#feiring#natur#elv #bekk #skog#miljř#grřnn#engelsk#Gaiadóttir

~ 17.Mai 2014 ~

On saturday, the 17th of May, Norwegians all over the world celebrated our National Day / Constitution Day :) This year we even celebrated the 200 year anniversary of our Constitution and independent reign. As every year, I was wearing my Bunad, the traditional Norwegian Costume. Still something was different this year. I didn't wear my blue one, but my new green one! :D Behold the glory! :3 As always we had ice cream, 'přlser i lompe', lots of fruits and berries, and delicious cakes - one creamcake and one raw kiwi- and banana cake! This was my first 17.Mai as a vegan, and it was great success! ^_^ ~ Gratulerer med dagen, Norge! 200 ĺr med egen grunnlov ~ - Do you have a national/traditional costume? :) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ Love and light ~ #ootd #antrekk #outfit #kjole #bunad #nordlandsbunad #grřnn #nasjonaldag #17mai #mote #historisk #historie #mat #kake #kaker #vegan #vegansk #vegetarisk #flagg #norge #engelsk #...

~ Earth Hour ~

Last night it was finally time to dim all the lights down for the symbolic celebration of the annual Earth Hour! I am glad this 'ceremony' exists to make more people aware about environmental changes etc., but at the same time I find it slightly sad that people only dedicate an hour to our Earth that gave us life itself... My evening was quite miserable and sad. Luckily I've put it behind me and moved on, and I feel a lot better today :D Since I was not in the mood to make it cozy, and there was nothing to photograph either, I present to you some pictures of the incredibly nice Earth Hour celebration my love and I had last year <3 We brought candles, matches, my glowing bunnies and found some old, dead wood while we walked to the place we decided to make a fire. It was a wonderful, romantic and spiritual experience for me, and I hope to do it again some time soon :) - Did you celebrate Earth Hour last night? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~...

~ Altar of Spring Equinox & Ostara ~ 2014

I made a simple and pastel rose coloured theme for my Spring Equinox and Ostara altar this year. Everything you can see is thrifted / secondhand exept for the gathered pine cones, the honey bee necklace and the two pink roses. I chose to put the honey bee in the center of my altar, because I know the bees of the world need prayers, attention, love and light. We can try to help them by signing different petitions on line (just google 'save bees' and you'll find them), and be concious about the products we buy/support, preferably ecological/organic and local. Also read here. - Do you celebrate Spring Equinox & Ostara? ~ Altar of Spring Equinox & Ostara ~ 2013

~ Happy Spring Equinox! ~ I have been really tired today, so I am going to take a walk in the forest and really absorb the energies I need and get in touch with Mother Earth and my own inner Goddess. I had a long day yesterday with many impressions, so I will use this day to relax, dring som soothing tea and make a little altar. I've been reposting som old blogposts lately and I hope the ones who have seen them before isn't sick of it already, because here is another one :3 My celebration of last year looked something like this. My altar included green canles in my beautiful tree-stake, a pentagram of pussy willow twig, a secondhand table runner, my soft little bunny, some fairies, flowers - both real and fake, and of course the seeds I was going to sow that spring, blessing them and hoping for a good harvest! I did a little oracle reading, and also added some vegan mini-cupcakes with mango and passionfruit topping :) ~ Wish you all a blessed day <3 ~ Photos of my altar i...

~ Lá Fhéile Pádraig ~ 2014

Today, the 17th of march, we celebrate the Irish heritage and culture on the big day we call St. Patrick's day! Happy St. Paddy! :) I celebrated the day on saturday with my dear and talented friends Branna and Ingrid, and our hubs. We walked in the parade, listened to some of the speaches and headed over to the local Irish pub. We had so much fun, I totally forgot to take photos, and what a shame, you should have seen these girls outfits! After we had eaten a little snack, the session started. So many talented musicians and wonderful, happy music! Ingrid sang and Branna played her flutes. It was all so magical. I made a little video you can seehere. Photo borrowed from Ingrid's instagram. Hope you are all having a wonderful time, either you celebrated or not! Now I'm going to watch The Secret of Roan Inish! :) Ps: I shared this last year, but it seems like it's still valid: Please sign here to save the forests of Ireland. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~...
